CUHK-Shenzhen’s Incubator Named National “Standard-Level” Technology Business Incubator
The?Innovation & Entrepreneurship Incubator of?the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) has been officially recognized as a national technology business incubator at the “Standard” level, according to the first batch of standard-level lists recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology?of the People’s Republic of China.
This designation?not only affirms the effectiveness of the University’s?incubator service system but also reflects strong recognition?of?CUHK-Shenzhen’s overall capacity for technological innovation and its potential to support regional development.
Leveraging this new status, the?Innovation & Entrepreneurship Incubator will further integrate innovation resources on and off?the campus, deepen collaboration with industry and entrepreneurial partners, and enhance its professional and international service capabilities. Through these efforts, the University aims to leverage its strength to support the development of?more globally competitive technology-based?enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
About the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office (IEO), CUHK-Shenzhen
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Office (IEO) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) was established in July 2024. The office, formed through the merger of the Technology Transfer Center (TTC) and the Center for Innovation, Design & Entrepreneurship (CIDE), is the University’s core platform for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship education, as well as technology transfer.
The IEO brings together on- and off-campus resources to build a full-chain ecosystem?for innovation and entrepreneurship, encompassing?education, technology transfer, incubation, and investment. It aims to nurture globally?oriented entrepreneurial talents and facilitate the translation of research outcomes into real-world applications and market impact. The IEO is committed?to establishing?a robust support system for innovation and entrepreneurship, and creating a demand-driven, globally leading, and comprehensive ecosystem.
